ObjectiveSWBAT identify the effects of the major event in the climax in “Romeo & Juliet.”  SWBAT identify and correct misplaced and dangling modifiers. 

Do-Now: Now that Romeo has killed Tybalt (Juliet's cousin) and been banished from Verona forever, do you believe Juliet will still stay with him?  What challenges might the two of them now face if they decide to stay together?  If you were Juliet, would you stay with Romeo or would you forget about him?  Explain.

Today: 1) Grammar: How to identify and correct misplaced modifiers.

2) Complete Practice 1 for misplaced modifiers.

3) Review cause and effect

4) In pairs, read Act 3, Scene 2.  Read Act 3, Scene 2 online HERE.  

Exit Slip: Describe how Act 3, Scene 2 represents dramatic irony?  (Hint: At first, who does Juliet believe has died?  Why does she believe this?  Who has really died?)
