Objective: Students will be able to evaluate evidence in order to determine if a defendant is innocent or guilty. Students will be able to identify run-ons and comma splices in order to turn them into correct sentences.
Do-Now: Look over the first page of the "Run-Ons and Comma Splices II" Packet and then complete the "Check Your Understanding" at the bottom of pg. 98. DO NOT WRITE THE CORRECTIONS ON THE LINES!!! Simply add the words within the paragraph where they belong. You also DO NOT have to draw a line between the two thoughts.
Today: 1) Go over "Check Your Understanding"
2) Complete Run-Ons and Comma Splices II: Practice 1
3) Add evidence to chart for "Twelve Angry Men" and evaluate the evidence
4) Finish reading "Twelve Angry Men"
5) Finish watching "Twelve Angry Men"
Homework: Quiz on Act 3 of "Twelve Angry Men" TOMORROW!!! Test on "Twelve Angry Men" on FRIDAY!!!
